I (23f) made plans for my birthday and told my boyfriend (35m) about them. He said it was good and he’ll take me but a week later he told me he wanted to bring his kids (12m, 9m) with us since the 9 year olds bday is a week away from mine so we can celebrate both together. I told him no because I wanted to enjoy the activities I planned out. Every time we go out they’re always complaining cause their phones die. We take them anywhere a kid would like to go and they complain and say they wanna go home and play on their phone. My boyfriend is a good dad, always there for his kids, last year we didn’t celebrate my birthday cause his kids had football games and we went and took them to dinner after at peter piper so they could have fun, I told my boyfriend last year we spent my birthday with them I think it’s only fair for us to celebrate by ourselves this time so I can actually do something I enjoy and actually enjoy it without them complaining every second. Most of the stuff I wanna do is outside, they hate being outside. My stepkids are always saying how everything I like is so gay. I dont need those vibes on my birthday call me immature I dont care, my birthday is super important to me. Whatever lol my boyfriend says he understands and will plan to have their mom keep them that weekend but my mom and my sisters told me I sound like a bitch not wanting to include them so I wanna hear some opinions thanks :)
