I can’t understand why people are saying 9800x3d(or any other 3d chip) is bad for productivity like “its terrible you can’t even double click on adobe premiere, blender etc shortcuts”. People need to understand its bad because there are better options available at same price but if you are building a PC for both gaming and productivity then its still fine. People needs to define what they are going to do in the name of productivity because 9800x3d can still do all the tasks such as blender, photoshop, fusion, video editing etc with something like 5070Ti or 4070Ti if you are not going hardcore on productivity. If you are going hardcore like when you need to render stuff for 10+hours or you are content creator with strict policy of editing multiple videos per day etc then at this point gaming is obviously not going to be your primary task.
The main problem is according to these people who says “3d chips are insanely bad for ANY productivity” it affects buying decision of a person who might to even utilize more than 8cores in the name of productivity. I mean those people who are doing productivity tasks on laptop/desktops with i5 10,11th gen says that 9800x3d is bad for them because everyone is saying its not good for productivity like bro what tf… its still better than i5 10 or 11 in terms of productivity sure those are cheaper but again if your primary task is gaming but you also want to do productivity then you can do with 9800x3d don’t overthink about it. Its 2025 any modern Ryzen 7 and i7 cpu can do both gaming and productivity its just one is better than other in some applications. So in conclusion OVERALL 9800x3d is not a bad choice for both productivity and gaming.
