For context: This happened when I was about 7 years old and my brother was about 5. This happened at a family gathering at a pub with about 15 people.
(Another note) Because of how long ago this was, there may be some missing info about the event, but I can assure you that this 100% happened and what I will be sharing is my best recollection of the event.
Back in around 2016, one of my aunts got married and a few days after the wedding, we decided to have a family dinner out at a local pub (I live in England btw). This was an event on my mum’s side of the family so only myself, my younger brother and my mum went out as my mum and dad live separately. We got seated in a back corner of the pub near towards an exit that lead to an area behind the pub.
With us growing bored, my brother an I decided to go outside through the back exit. We notified our mum and we then went outside to play together.
I should mention that this outdoor area was quite empty. It was quite small with only a few pieces of playing equipment present (such as a slide, swing set and monkey bars).
However, among the equipment was a Wendy house. (A Wendy house is a small outside playhouse for children to play in)
Here is where the event unfolded.
My brother started to run towards the Wendy house to go inside and play. Once he was about 4 feet (1.3m) from the door, I kid you not, a large grey mist manifested right behind him. This mist stood roughly 7 feet (2.1m) tall and had a vaguely humanoid shape. The shape of the mist was similar to an overweight man. The apparition lingered for about another second before vanishing without a trace. I begin to cry and scream after seeing it and yell at him to run. We both started to sprint back inside to our family table.
My mum, seeing me in a distraught mood, asks me what’s wrong. Through the shaking of my voice and terrified sobbing, I stumbled out the events of what transpired.
The worst part, NO ONE BELIVED ME. After talking to me, my mum asked my brother if he saw something to which he responded that he didn’t. This then lead to my mum to tell me that the apparition was simply caused by my imagination. Even with their denial, I was still insisting it was true until they greew tired of it and told me to shut up.
I’m 16 now and have forgotten most of the details about it. But one thing still sticks with me, and that being the terrifying image of the apparition appearing and disappearing, as clear as day.
