Hi everyone,
I’m from Deoghar, Jharkhand. On 24th June 2025, I went to the Aditya Vision store to buy a laptop. For those who don’t know — Aditya Vision is a big electronics retail chain in Bihar and Jharkhand.
I liked a laptop, but it wasn’t in stock. They told me they could order it and asked me to pay ₹500 as a booking amount, which I did.
That same night, they called and said the model was not available anymore. So I requested a refund the next day (25th June) filling necessary details like bank account number, IFSC code etc. They said it would be refunded in 1 week. After 1 week, they said to wait for another one week.
Still, nothing happened.
I visited the store multiple times, called the staff and customer care — but got no clear answer. Only delays.
What finally worked:
On 15th July, I filed a complaint at the official government website:
https://consumerhelpline.gov.in/
(also called National Consumer Helpline or NCH)
And guess what — on 16th July, the ₹500 refund was credited to my Bank account via NEFT from Aditya Vision.
Why I’m sharing this:
This is not about ₹500.
It’s about the fact that many people don’t know there’s a working, official platform for consumer issues in India — and it works, even in small cases.
If you’re ever stuck with refund delays, poor service, or being ignored after payment, you can raise a complaint here.
What is NCH?
The National Consumer Helpline (NCH) is a government portal by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs. You can:
- File complaints against sellers, brands, stores, etc.
- Track progress online
- Use it for offline and online purchases
- All for free
✅ Website: consumerhelpline.gov.in
📞 Toll-Free: 1915
My advice:
- Keep proof of payment and communication
- Don’t waste time running around if they’re delaying
- File the complaint — it’s easy and takes just 10–15 minutes
- Be patient but firm — and you’ll most likely get your resolution
I hope this helps someone who might be facing something similar.
TL;DR:
Paid ₹500 advance at Aditya Vision (Deoghar) for a laptop on 24 June. They couldn’t deliver and delayed the refund for 3 weeks despite visits and calls. Filed a complaint on consumerhelpline.gov.in on 15 July. Got the refund on 16 July.
National Consumer Helpline works — use it if you’re facing refund or service issues.
