Been watching since last year’s Olympics. Watched the Pan Am Games with Reeves. She had the 4th highest total in the competition. Just bonkers how strong she is. A 20yr old upset Theissen-Lappen. Got her on the final C&J. I looked up the WR total for the 86kg+, Li WenWen. So those women aren’t really training to win Gold in the Olympics any time soon.

Between WenWen & Reeves putting up WR numbers in their categories, I’m wondering if we’re in the Golden Age of Women’s weightlifting??

WenWen increased her total by 16kilos since last year. She’s only 25. Reeves is only 22 and has her category on lock. There are a few women in South America who are close but they weren’t at this year’s Pan Am’s.

I’m in awe. But I’m also new to the sport.
