Just curious, we’ve got a public housing that’s been left vacant for the last 6months in our street.

I pass this house almost everyday on the way to work. When the last tenants left, the house was a bit trashed. Couple months after they left, a bunch of tradies would come and go, tidied it up, seems like they painted it aswell and changed the front window and door. Since then, this place has sat empty for a few months now. Given the rental crisis, why has this been the case? I’m sure there’s other things that happen in the background, but why fix it then leave it vacant. Just seems like a complete waste in resources….
