I’ve never really played a real MMORPG since most always either felt extremely dated with so much “you had to be there”, expensive subscriptions, pay to win aspects, or 10 expensive dlcs that were mandatory to have any fun (looking at you ESO, WoW, and Destiny). Had zero clue this game existed somehow but after seeing some discussions where people said this was currently the best MMO with the best combat etc. and that it’s been alive for around a decade I have a few questions:
- Is this game solo friendly? - Doubt I could get any friends to play but would be willing to join a guild if that’s a thing
- Is it beginner friendly? - A lot of games nowadays feel like if you weren’t there from the beginning then you haven’t really played the game.
- Are the dlc required? - Played Destiny for a bit and for a game that claims to be free, that requires 10 different $30-$40 dlc to be fun according to most.
- Is this game still alive? - Been a few times where I’ve joined an old game and it just died out within months or felt empty, so is this game still getting new people frequently or is it all just veterans now in late game areas I’ll never see?
- Last one I promise - How player cooperative is this? - Is it more like a single player experience and you occasionally see other people or do you frequently find people to travel and adventure with?
