This isn’t just the obvious ‘adult entertainment’ content like you might think, things like Reddit posts marked nsfw, discord channels marked nsfw etc are now all completely inaccessible on UK internet, unless you sign up for an account and submit to suppling the platform with a photo of your face or ID. This law will technically also apply to platforms like Steam which (I guess until recently) host games rated 18+.

And obviously it can all be circumvented immediately by using a VPN, making the whole endeavour completely pointless.
