The European Union has considered a trade deal with the United States, which would lower its tariff rate to a flat 15% instead of the 30% that President Trump had planned. In return, the EU must use more American energy and reduce their taxes on American imports. For the plan to be implemented, all 27 EU members must agree to it. That might not be easy, especially since some powerful nations disagree with it. Both France and Germany have already expressed their displeasure with the proposal.
