If you like what rosemary (the herb) does to your soups and broths, but don’t care for the strong flavor when eating it directly, a sprig does wonders but for those of us who only have access to the leaves, using a tea ball contains the leaves but imparts their flavor. I use it for bay leaves as well, all in one tea ball on a chain, and my chicken noodle soup is one of my most requested. I imagine the same could be done with chunks of cinnamon or chicory.
