I’ve had iFIT for about a decade now. Mostly for the google maps integration and the ability to create my own custom workouts for distance, speed, incline, etc. They of course got rid of that option a few months after renewing my membership. I asked to cancel and get a refund and their answer was basically “too bad.” My membership won’t renew after this next period but they’re of course keeping the money.

Now you can’t even export your TCX files. So one more reason never to ever support iFIT again.

On top of that I’ve used Nordictrack treadmills for the same period - 3 in total and the build quality is significantly worse. My latest one arrive with a bad motor control unit at they replaced but I had to do the labor. I’ve had structural failures in the frame to the point that they ultimately replaced the whole unit (after months of going back and forth with them and the technician they sent out who said it needed to be replaced). Then the deck under the belt broke and even though it was under warranty it took about 6 months to get it replaced - the first 2 they shipped out arrived broken and then they were on back order and it took about 3 months for the final unbroken one to arrive. Now the replacement unit has broken a weld in the same place the one that had to be scrapped did. But I’m out of the warranty period.

Needless to say I won’t be replacing it with another Nordictrack or any unit that uses iFIT. I had a great experience the first 5 years but the last 5 years has been nothing but disappointment and frustration. From making their software increasingly useless and expensive to a treadmill where the only thing worse than the build quality is their customer support I would tell everyone to avoid this company like the plague. The other out there might be just as bad but I’m willing to take my chances.

The one positive in this is the technicians they sent out to replace and fix it while under warranty. They were always nice and responsive but they were independent contractors and limited but Nordictrack’s incompetence.
