I can’t stress it enough the importance of just getting out there are starting. After the pandemic and being isolated being at home made me feel so disconnected from life. I felt like I was watching other people live while life was passing me by. Then I created a list of all the things I wanted to do and then put myself out there. Sometimes the biggest obstacle isn’t what we fear, it’s just getting up and doing. Sometimes our thoughts of what could happen paralyze us from getting out there and making it happen. Im 28 now and I had to say enough is enough all you can do is try. But I’d rather live the experience than to wonder what if. Time and time again I’m seeing the act of doing is so good for my mental health.

Example: I want to meet new people. I play a lot of pickleball. a hobby of mine is going to different areas around me that are closer to the city because of more populated areas. I show up and when I see people who I think are interesting I ask to join. If they say no I don’t get offended, but try again with someone else. Whatever it is you’re wanting to do don’t be afraid just get out there and try.
