Okay so I guess I wanted to get opinions on viability of farming some stuff as a chill solo player experience. I had played way back when eotn just came out but I was maybe 6 clicking away at build guides and doing my best to make money to get elite armor. My main issue that I noticed was that I never salvaged anything unless it had a rune or insignia to keep. I was paying for mats out of pocket to just get armor at droknars and essentially setting me back from saving up for the elite armor. I recently started up a new account since I used to play on my brother’s and made a warrior on prophecies to really start from scratch and wow did I waste so much money. I have not spent a gold on mats for armor as I salvage everything I get now. I have racked up 130k on a steady playthrough without farming or doing anything other gold strategy than never spending money on mats for armor. Did anyone else try to stay immersed in the “forage” for everything and save up as much as possible, or like when I was younger, just rush a gold farming method?

Also would love to hear people’s go to gold farming ideas on new accounts starting from scratch!
