My dad paid for my ticket for me to come home for the summer. On my way back to the city where I study a guy wanted to sit with his girlfriend. It is a ten hour flight and I had an aisle seat. I rarely get up but when I do I hate disturbing other people. The guy had a middle seat.

I initially said no because, like I said, I hate bugging other people when I go to the bathroom or get up to stretch. The guy kept on bugging me and said “what do I have to do? Pay you?” I said “yes if you give me money I will trade”

I thought it would make him go away. He asked “how much?” “$350” we haggled and we agreed on $250.

I told my flatmate about it when I got back to school and she said I was an asshole for making a person pay me for something I didn’t pay for. I said it was supply and demand and the guy was happy to pay.
