Prepping for an Alps trip with one backpack and trying to pack as light and smart as possible, just one backpack for everything. I’ve done some multi-city travel before, but this is my first time trying to balance hiking gear and basic daily stuff in one pack. So far I’m aiming for things that are compact, durable, and genuinely useful.

Here’s what I’ve locked in so far. Trying to keep it minimal without sacrificing comfort or hygiene:

  • Osprey Talon 33L backpack

  • Sea to Summit dry sack (for dirty clothes & weather protection)

  • Montbell Plasma 1000 Down Jacket (packs super small and warm enough for the mountains)

  • UNIQLO Ultra Light Airism tee x 2

  • Patagonia Baggies (doubles as casual and swim shorts)

  • Darn Tough merino socks x 2 pairs

  • Soocas neos ii electric toothbrush (last weeks on one charge)

  • Anker Nano power bank

  • Toaks titanium cup + spork

  • Travel-size solid toiletries (bar shampoo, bar soap, deodorant stick)

If anyone’s done longer hikes or backpacking through Europe, I’d love to hear what gear you found essential, what you’d skip, and any other packing tricks you swear by. Especially curious if I’m overlooking anything obvious or packing something unnecessary.

Thanks in advance!
