My future MIL is a vile person. Rude, crass, loud, racist, gross. All the things you can think of.

However, my fiancés grandma, has recently been asking us to make promises. Two reasons being that she’s older, and she’s about to give away my wife, which she mostly raised.

One of her requests is that we don’t let her child go homeless, my fiancés mom. Without asking me, my fiancé agreed and I was really taken aback by it because of how awful this lady is. I get that she’s technically family, and I do feel bad for her grandmother who doesn’t want her child to be in that kind of situation. But on the other hand, she’s had multiple chances to correct her life. This is suppose to be our time, our chance.

I pulled her aside when we had the chance, and asked her if she was serious. She said yes, she couldn’t leave her mom alone like that if the circumstance came up. I told her my side and that I couldn’t live with her, and wouldn’t have our future child around that. So things have been off the past week.

We’ll be getting our own place soon. Settling and starting a family, and I can’t even fathom living with this person or letting my children around said person. Especially when she’s jobless and she would essentially be around said child while we’re both at our 9-5 jobs.

So AITA?

Edit: Her grandma isn’t putting her on her will to inherit the house because she knows she would destroy that place in no time. She just wants my fiancé or her brother to house her and her brother already has said no.

Edit 2: She’s currently living in a rundown trailer that she never took care of.
