I’m a sucker for 2D roguelites on the Steam Deck, and this game feels right at home.

The game is like a mix between Into The Breach and Slay the Spire, and is perfect for pick up and play in small bites (or longer ones).

Like Into The Breach, you need to think about the sequence you are about to play, how to best defuse enemy attacks or use them to your advantage.

Like Slay the Spire, you pick up new “cards” and can upgrade your existing ones through a run.

You can unlock new characters and new skills/weapons spending a currency earned during each run. A successful run unlocks a more challenging run for each character.

I am about 15 hours in and I can’t put it down. Each successful run is about 1 hour so I have a few under my belt.

The game right now sits at 15€, got it during the summer sale at 7,50€. Don’t know yet if it’s worth it at full price (I expect it is), but for half-price I don’t regret it one bit !
