Many former festival goers were not even aware that Ommegang quietly brought back BCTC last year. It was quite scaled down from years past and half the vendor spots were empty in 2024.

We bought tickets for this year and they just cancelled it with less than 2 weeks to go citing “unforeseen circumstances” which is a typical level of transparency for those unfamiliar with Ommegang’s event management quality.

I don’t have much invested in it other than the ticket price (which is refunded) but I feel bad for those who made non-refundable hotel, Airbnb reservations etc. But hey, the offered a free beer in their Facebook cancellation message!
