So one day, my bf and I were talking about wedding plans. I said I didn’t want any cake smashed into my face. My bf asked why. I told him that I just don’t. This is one of the most beautiful days of my life. I will end up paying a fortune for makeup, and I would rather have it not ruined. I told him I just wanted to look and feel beautiful the whole day. I also told him that I wouldn’t smash cake in his either. He went on to call me selfish and stated that I would be ruining his dream wedding. I didn’t understand why it was such a big deal to him. He just continued to call me selfish, stating that it was unfair to get my way and that the cake face smash was a part of wedding traditions that I was messing up. I told him we could still be cute and feed the cake to each other, just not ramming it into my mouth/face. That wasn’t good enough for him, and he said I was selfish ash and would ruin his idea of a perfect wedding. Am I being an asshole about the cake situation???
