There wasn’t a tag for old man ramblings so bear with me. One of my all-time greatest memories is from the first time I lived in Perth circa 1996. During a good night at the Hip-E Club me and mates I was with went to a nearby kebab shop for eats and even at the late/early hour it was packed. Like 20 to 30 people who had ordered and were waiting for food. Most were waiting outside on the street just talking and interacting jovially the way people who’ve been clubbing do, when one individual started singing Better Man by Pearl Jam at the top of his voice. Well it took less than a verse for everyone there to join in and sing the whole song like an unorganised flash mob. 30 odd people just joining in the choir in the kebab shop. Definitely a moment I’ll never forget.
