I know every generation likely finds fault in the one that comes up after it, but I’ve seen countless videos online of Gen Z’s “discovering” things that have been around forever. I just saw one in particular with the trend of “silent walking”, which is just … going on a walk without technology. This is only one example, but what is going on? Is this something every generation of young people does that I just never noticed? Am I just a crotchety old millennial now? I’m genuinely perplexed and it seems that many (but not all) Gen Z’s have an extreme lack of awareness of anything from before they were born.
