Lately, life’s been heavy and I know I’m not alone in that. So, here’s a little good news.
I got pulled over on Whyte Ave recently and found out my registration had expired… in 2023. I also couldn’t find my current insurance. Total mess. But instead of giving me a ticket, the officer patiently waited while I called, waited on hold and eventually got my insurance sent over, then gave me a warning and simply said, “Pay it forward”.
That moment stuck with me. What could’ve ruined my day actually lifted my spirits and reminded me how powerful grace can be.
I’ve always believed in acts of kindness like paying for the car behind me, letting someone go ahead in line, always volunteering for something… I don’t do it for karma, but I think it adds up.
Just wanted to share a happy story in a weird time and remind people that doing nice things for others, big or small, brings joy to you and them.
Also, I’m on the lookout for the right way to pay it forward. If you’ve got any ideas that are fun or meaningful, I’m all ears!
