First, I won’t be discussing personal campaign issues here.
Second, this concept is about better governance, focus, and vision. And I am freely sharing it with all Mayoral candidates and Council candidates to use.
Why? Because it should not be a campaign issue, it should be the issue of our times if we truly want to right the ship here.
And it all starts with this thing we call: THE MILL RATE.
Essentially, if the budget stays relatively stable, and we build with a focus on lowering the mill rate through growth, then we can stabilize taxes and even lower them.
For those who have been here for a while and caught it, you will see that this overlaps with my Municipal Fiscal Sustainability Plan (The Money Plan).
That’s all I’ll say, and mods please delete if you feel it is too close to the election and could be considered campaigning.
If it doesn’t get deleted, I am happy to answer questions and fill in details as time permits as I feel this is not at all about a Ward run and 100% about my Council duties.
(ps. For those who know me as maybe a little more humourous, I’m afraid this video will disappoint. I took this as seriously as the topic demands)
