First, I work in the US. I work for a fortune 100 company. I am an hourly employee. In addition to regular pay I get “bonus” pay. Bonus pay is guaranteed at 160% but doesn’t apply to overtime hours. So, I get paid less per hour after 40hrs which sucks since I work 70 hours a week. To break this down I have a base pay of $15 per hr so for the first 40 hours I am paid $24. After 40hrs when I hit overtime my pay drops to $22.50. It feels wrong to get paid less in overtime. FYI minimum wage in my state is $14.35.
