I purchased a refurbished surface pro 3 from Mercari and when it arrived in the mail I booted it up only to find it had never been factory reset and still had the previous users pin. I first tried to reset pc by holding the shift key and then pressing bower button and then pressing the reset pc button. That however does not work and it says “Sorry there seems to be a problem and we need to restart.” I messaged the seller and he basically just he does not have the pin and that there is reset instructions on Google but clearly those are not working. Does anyone have any solutions? Thanks.

To add I do have proof of purchase incase anyone thinks otherwise.
