I followed the following guide: , which TLDR installs windows on a partition of a drive, on a steam deck which already has steamOS installed.

My issue is whilst I used the steam recovery image to partition the drive, I never actually installed steamOS. I’ve now spent the better part of a day tinkering and fixing up windows to work well on deck, only to now be faced with the prospect of losing all that progress.

Right now I have a 320gb-ish partition containing my windows install, and about 650gb unallocated. Is there any way at all I can simply install steamOS to this other partition? Or if not, can I possibly clone my existing windows install and “paste” it back into a new partition if I have to wipe everything with steamOS?
