In my journey of building a robust game database on what works on current ARM chips and what doesnt, i have hit a milestone of 300 games on my current spreadsheet! Thanks to those who have submitted what they’ve played, every little bit helps!
So. What is the TLDR of all of this SO FAR?
Well. The current GPUs arent honestly that bad, but they are WOEFULLY immature driver wise. (which gives me some concern over the next gen of snapdragon GPUs)
More than a few games have a practically locked framerate and dont really change performance depending on the Resolution or settings (AC unity was an example of this behavior)
a lot of UE4 games exhbit what i call “the fog of doom” Which is like a white fog that makes the game practically impossible to play.
While EAC has had an ARM rollout, it’s not really implemented yet, making six games on the list unplayable.
This list will still be updated going forward.
Demos have been introduced as, Realistically unless the demo is MASSIVELY out of date and the render pipeline has been overhauled, the game should still work.
However, testing is going to slow down as I’ve burned through a vast majority of my library currently. I am not made of money, so I can’t buy a bunch of games on a total whim. Expect most activity around sales.
but thank you to those who have helped and want to contribute,
Thanks!
