Just wanted to share my experience here using to exchange between XNO and XLM as a New Yorker who can no longer use Kucoin because of the KYC requirements.

Since Swapzone is a known champion of Nano, I wanted to give it a try since it satisfies my slightly unique predicament of being unable to buy/sell Nano freely. After using it the past couple of weeks, (specifically favoring the EasyBit rates due to the generally favorable rate plus the quick turnaround), I can honestly say that it’s a great service with an easy to understand interface/process.

I had one little hiccup using the Exolix exchange one time which got stuck in a hour-long transaction, but I believe this was mostly due to my error as I sent the Nano from a different address than the Refund Address. Despite this, when I reached out to Swapzone Support, they resolved the issue for me within 30-45 minutes. I unfortunately got a lower rate than I intended as price decline a lot during that time, but that’s expected with this kind of service. Using Easybit, though, these transactions complete within minutes.

Just wanted to put that out there in case others are looking for solutions to at least trade/buy/sell Nano using other currencies that are allowed within their states/regions (XLM available on Coinbase for me) Doing this also highlighted how great of a utility Nano is.

These quick turnaround times are only possible because Nano is so quick and finalizes ASAP. XLM is comparably good as well, which is why it’s my preferred pairing when trading, but obviously 0 fees and instant transaction times is why Nano is always going to be my favorite. Try and exchange with anything else (like LTC or BTC) and the transaction times either double or worse.

Hope this helps someone searching the Reddit in the future, and if anyone has good/better alternatives, please let me know because I still would prefer to spot-trade than having to go through a swap service, but it’s definitely not a bad alternative in the meantime!
