It’s not like we aren’t paying them indirectly by watching and listening to ads. To be fair they are in a massive loss right now but still pisses me off how a company makes consistently shit decisions, but they still pay the companies for making shit decisions. I only use Spotify for its library and friend activity features; otherwise, deemix FTW!
Personally I prefer YT algorithm to Spotify so I use adblocked YT on laptop while working or YT Pro on phone. Yeah it’s memory hungry but I find it suits my needs more. Plus it has the added benefit of having songs not on spotify. Tbh Spotify was always a pain to use even for podcasts. Podbean and other apps always seemed much easier.
