In Klinefelter syndrome, one X chromosome seems to be dormant, while the Y chromosome is always expressed.

Why aren’t there cases both X chromosomes are expressed and the Y chromosome is dormant? in other words, why don’t individuals with Klinefelter syndrome develop into XXY females? what’s the mechanism behind this?
