I’ve been noticing this trend in society. Since women have made some steps toward equity and actually have the ability to stand separate from a man, and have standards. They act like we havent been historically oppressed and treated as second class citizens. They feel as if they are being denied their “god given right” for a women to serve them. Oppressed or entitled? Like sorry you actually have to bring something to the table other than financial abuse and exploitation. Its actually delusional that men believe our society is not patriarchal. The fact that men can so easily demoralize a women. Like we aren’t treated as objects. As a young women, I’ve had men shocked that i have intellect. IDK I’m genuinely sick of being objectified. I support women who want to live traditionally, but again, men disregard the fact that many women have essentially been treated as slaves by their husbands. Dating has become really scary for me. I’m tired of feeling used and demonized by men, who are threatened by my confidence and capabilities and want to kill my confidence to put me in my place. I seem to attract men who are jealous of me. Ive learned a lot of lessons in my first 5 years of adulthood.
DISCLAIMER: I know I’m making a big generalization, I know not all men view women in this way. I understand my experiences with men have influenced my worldview, I’m open to debate. There’s nothing inherently wrong with men, but it’s how society has constructed these values imo.
