I’m thinking of making the switch from TrueNAS Core to UNRAID and I use mine mostly for PLEX. I can’t currently stream 4K videos on my LAN without them freezing only seconds into starting to play. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s due to PLEX being unable to hw transcode with my single video card. TrueNAS Scale can do GPU pass-through with more than 1 GPU, and I assume it’s probably the same with UNRAID.

Can any of you confirm if PLEX in UNRAID supports GPU pass-through?

I assume a second GPU is required?

What do you use for GPU(s) in your UNRAID for transcoding? Specifically, what works for 4K hw transcodes for you?
