Hi guys,

TDM is a cross platform, light weight, multi protocol configurable TUI download manager. Currently it supports http/https and torrents.

  • It supports pausing, canceling and resuming of downloads across sessions
  • It does chunked http downloads and you can configure things like number of connections, chunks, etc.
  • For bittorent it supports both torrent files (you just need to paste the link to the .torrent file don’t even need to manually download it) and magnet links, you can configure if you want to seed or use DHT, PEX, etc.
  • It also allows downloads to be prioritized and is highly customizable.

some of my future plans include adding yt-dlp support and adding a feature to schedule the downloads for later.

Please check it out on github: https://github.com/NamanBalaji/tdm

I would appreciate some feedback and would like to know if something like this is actually useful for people
