Something happened to me last night which has got me rattled, looking for ways this could be debunked.
I walk home from work which takes 2+ hours, I also work night shift so when I walk home it’s dark. The route I have to take is completely pitch black as there are no lights. I’m not scared about this really, my mother used to kick me out as a kid for whatever reason and I’d be out walking the streets until like 3am. Anyway, I was walking home last night and everything was fine, I had my music on and my torch.
I have to walk on the road as there is no path to walk on, there are bushes either side then just mountains behind that and an old factory along the road. Not sure if I believe in ghosts or not but need help explaining this. I start coming to the end of the road and suddenly I have this horrible feeling, almost like impending doom? All my hairs are standing up and I try and shake it off. Next thing I know I feel my hair getting yanked back.
Obviously I turned around in an instant freaked out that someone was behind me but there was nobody there, I was so scared I ran the rest of the way to the end of the road. The yank physically pulled my head back, I wondered if maybe a bat or something swooped down, it couldn’t be a bird because there aren’t any birds at that time of night. When I got to the end of the road I was a bit emotional because I was shook up. That was my last shift for the week and I’m back in on Thursday and have to take the same route and honestly I am scared.
What could this possibly be? Open to explanations of what this could have been instead of jumping to ghost conclusions.
Just extra info I was wearing a hi-vis raincoat that doesn’t have any buttons or anything on the back that my hair could have caught on and I have short hair.
