I am looking to get into more fast packing and looking for some advice on fast packing packs.
I currently have my normal backpacking base weight down to about 10lbs and for fast packing would cut that down to about 8lbs.
I currently have a Nashville packs cutaway 40l that I love but i think it is a little too big for running. I have tried it and it bounces too much and is a little floppy because it is not close to full.
I am torn between just getting a smaller Nashville pack or looking at other brands.
Questions I have:
- what size pack are you using for fast packing?
- do you prefer the bag to be shorter than your normal torso length?
- what do you think is the most important considerations when looking at fast packs?
