Hi,
I started my unRAID journey 4 years ago with 1 SSD.
At that moment I followed a guide I found on unRAID forums who advised to mount the SSD as an UD and put Docker folders and VMs on it.
1 year ago I rebuilt my config, moved the data on a new ssd (nvme) and started to use the old one (SATA) as cache. So the 2 SSDs may have different performance.
I don’t really use the Cache. My main use of my system are long term storage (photo), Plex and some Docker apps I like (Pihole, youtubedl, Unifi, …)
My question :
Should I keep it like this?
Or is it better to move the files from UD to cache ?
Should I then build a pool of 2 (allowing redundancy) or not given the 2 SSDs are differents.
Thank you
