Hi everyone,

I’m posting here because I’ve had some unsettling things happen in my home over the past month, and I’m not sure what to make of it.

It started about a month ago. Around 3 a.m., I was suddenly awoken by a female voice softly saying “hello” repeatedly in a questioning tone. My dog woke up at the same time and started barking and growling at the corner of the room, staring like he saw something. He’s usually a very quiet, calm dog and rarely barks like that.

Since then, my dog has been noticeably more jumpy and will stare intently at random spots in the house like he’s watching something I can’t see.

About a week after the first incident, I woke up to find a half glass of water sitting on my counter. I live alone, and it wasn’t a glass I would normally drink from — I usually only drink water from a bottle.

Then about two weeks later, I was sitting on my couch when my kitchen tap suddenly turned on by itself. It’s the kind of tap you have to pull up to start running, so it’s not something that can easily happen on its own. My dog started barking again at the same time.

I’m not sure if these events are related, or if there’s some explanation I’m missing. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Could this be paranormal, or should I be looking for something else? And if it is something paranormal, what can I do about it?

Any advice or insight would be really appreciated.
