In two days, I’m about to start my first solo trip of New Zealand’s South Island for two weeks. I’ve never had to manage the logistics of taking food or shopping on a more frequent basis or having irregular access to a fridge though I’m sure I’ll learn very quickly. I am also only taking a 40l pack that has to weigh 7kg or less as carry on so will be buying food when in Queenstown.
What do people do to minimize bulk while also having satisfying food? I won’t be looking to buy restaurant/cafe food regularly as it tends to be very expensive in tourist towns.
My other question: is it onebagging if you have to rely on two bags?
