I genuinely have to ask this. It’s gotten to a point not just on the main subreddit but across many subs where I see so called “Armenians” behave in a way where they seem to be openly Pro-Turkish.

I’ve seen “Armenians” get deeply upset when a unrepentant genocide denying Turk is insulted. I’ve seen “Armenians” defend changing the constitution as if conceding to that Turkish demand is a 4D chess move. Along with renounce Ararat and genocide recognition. I’ve even seen “Armenians” denounce Artsakh, as if doing so will magically make the Turks love us. I’ve seen “Armenians” claim that once the borders are open we can all embrace eachother in brotherly love and sing kumbayah and forget about what happened in 1915 and expediently look over what happened in 2020 and 2023.

My Main questions: Why is there an endemic of pompous, smug, Turkophile “Armenians” that clamor for Turkish approval on Reddit? Many suspiciously push or agree with Turkish talking points and narratives (and we all know what sub the most prolific ones converge in). Despite their smug attitudes and open hatred for Diasporans, I simply refuse to believe they are a representative or collective voice for RoA Armenians.

PSA: I am not a Dashnak, or Pro Russian stooge. But the amount of Armenians that can barely contain their excitement for Armenia to fully submit itself under Turkey and become a Turkish Truck Stop for Turkey and Azerbaijan is astounding.
