I got this game and most of its DLC years ago on sale, but have never been able to get into it. I’ve played a lot of Stellaris and a TON of CK2, CK3, and HOI4 (CK2 is my most played video game ever) but have yet to be able to understand EU4, economy and military especially. I understand some of the base game mechanics technically, but I don’t actually understand how I’m supposed to use those tools or what’s good. Basically: what’s the gameplay loop? How do I A) build an internal economy, B) get good trade, and C) have a good military in terms of composition? How are you guys making prosperous nations?
