I (26M) have been working as a bellboy in a hotel for six months, I got close to a receptionist (32F) and for the last four months we’ve been going to empty rooms in the hotel and having sex whenever we could.

We would make excuses for our coworkers and go and do it, we would do it during breaks, and sometimes we wouldn’t leave the hotel right after work and we would go and do it. We weren’t dating, it was just very exciting for us, and the sex was good. I don’t think we weren’t caught though, surely our coworkers knew. We might have been seen on the security cameras, but I’m cool with the guy who watches the cameras, maybe that’s why he didn’t rat us out.

Two days ago our manager called her in. Half an hour later she came back crying. So she dropped her name tag in the room after our last sex. A cleaner picked it up, handed it to the lost and found, and it came to our manager. When he asked her why her name tag was there, she panicked and couldn’t come up with a sensible lie. Instead she said that she was so tired that she went to her room and slept. When he asked her if she had done this before, she said that she had, and there was really no reason for her to say such a thing. As a result, our manager was very strict and fired her.

She came to me and said we should quit together. I don’t understand why I should do that. I’m not the one who dropped the name tag, I’m not the one who panicked and told a stupid lie, why should I quit my job? She told me that we could get a job together somewhere else, and I don’t want to do that either, so I turned her down. In the evening of that day she called me and ripped me a new one. He accused me of ruining her life(???). I didn’t force her to do anything. I really don’t think I’m wrong. AITA?
