October… the spooky month (especially if you’re Maryland… yeesh!) means one thing… college football is hitting its mid-season stride, and the conference and CFP races are starting to take shape… and, naturally, nowhere is the action better than out on The CFBBall Field! so let’s jump in and see what’s going on…

Vandy’s eating crow after a defeat in Tuscaloosa last weekend… I’m not sure what’s more impressive, the run that the 'Dores have been on these last two years, or the fact that Diego Pavia managed to make this ultimate Cinderella team unlikable…

And, finally, a couple of newcomers grace the poll this week… Notre Dame and Arizona State are back after brief hiatuses, Cincy returns after several years away and, to the best of my knowledge, the Mean Green of North Texas make their debut out on the CFBBall Field, as they look primed to contend for that G5 autobid!
