Basically what the title says I’ve been dealing with this recent issue with YT revanced opening up to shorts even when it’s patched in and disabled through revanced settings. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling everything it still does it about 50-75% of the time I open the app.

The current revanced manager version installed is 1.9.5 and the YouTube apk version is 18.32.39 and made sure the patch to block shorts are selected and installed. Yet even though I’ve done all that and tripled made sure the appropriate settings are enabled through the revanced menu shorts still pops up when opening the app.

Every other patch and settings I’ve installed and enabled are working fine it’s just that one specific issues that I’m having. It’s pretty annoying and I am wondering if anyone else on here has been dealing with this too and if you’ve found a solution to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Should clarify it opens straight to shorts playing.

Edit 2: Clearing the yt app’s cache via systems settings then clearing the phone’s cache via recovery mode resolved the issue for me.
