Majestic 12 is a purported secret committee of scientists, military leaders, and government officials, formed in 1947 by an executive order by U.S. President Harry S. Truman to facilitate recovery and investigation of alien spacecraft. Information about this group was exposed in series of documents who were allegely leaked from the US government.

Skeptics claim that documents are just a forgery, fake documents created by US government through disinformation process. Few people in the US government created hoax documents to fool small group of ufologist into believing that USA recovered alien spacecraft. There are plenty of arguments why documents are just hoaxes, possibly originated from Richard Doty and William Moore.

Not many people know that there are actually thousands of documents about Majestic 12. Additionally, not many people know that there were actually 7 different sources providing Majestic 12 documents and those sources provided those documents in the span of 33 years. The amount of detailed information in those documents is pretty crazy.

Why anybody would that? Why go to such length just to fool ufologists? I understand if it was just Eisenhower briefing document hoaxed by Doty and Moore but there are thousands of documents coming from other sources.

And why they released those files in the span of 33 years? Why someone created documents in 1980s but then decided to not reveal them for many years?
