Just an observation - recently moved into a new neighborhood here and everyone who has moved in recently in pretty large (over 2k sq ft homes) are boomers. These houses were clearly built for families but there are none here and all the new people moving in are older without kids.

I overheard a guy basically saying he owns a house here already but he has ‘first world problem’ where him and his wife are not willing to give up his current smaller house and low interest rate to upgrade to a bigger house and it’s affecting his want for kids.

Feels like things are at kind of an impasse.

Anyone else notice this too or in a similar situation?
