I got a pair of nice Guinness pint glasses (the tulip ones) at the wife’s office Christmas party white elephant last year, and finally decided to give em a try with some canned Guinness Draught. Never had Guinness before somehow.
Now, the flavor was great, BUT, at least with the cans, it being a nitro stout, it just tastes/feels absolutely flat to me. It’s still enjoyable, but I love carbonation so it definitely felt like it was missing something. Decided to try the extra stout because it’s carbonated and WOW. This might be my favorite beer of all time. It’s got a nice chocolate/coffee aftertaste, has the carbonation I want, isn’t heavy at all,and honestly, just looks great in these pint glasses.
Now, I obviously need to try a real draught at my local Irish pub, but at home? This is a new favorite for sure.
