A few weeks ago the pumpkin beers started hitting the shelves. Now, I usually stock up on the stuff because I absolutely love it. I’m used to an initial wave of the stuff, then it tappers off. I’m usually able to find something pumpkin flavored at least until the end of October. This year though? The initial wave hit, then it just dried up. Nothing.
What happened? Is it too risky in this economy? Or has interest completely died? I’m used to summer beers then Marzen/Octoberfest, Pumpkin then Christmas beers. The Christmas beers last year weren’t too prolific either and I don’t expect anything grand this year.
