I’ve had a modded switch for about 5 years. Recently I bought an RP4 Pro and have decided to return it because I can do basically everything I wanted to do with it on my switch.

You have:

• Smooth emulation up to PSP/PS1/Dreamcast

• Option for OLED

• Native Switch games (obviously) + overclocking

• Detachable controllers + easily dockable

• Very convenient DS emulation with a vertical joycon grip

• Android and Linux support

• Pretty lively homebrew scene

• Easy to customize, lots of custom themes + shell swap options

Honestly if playing switch games in addition to emulating systems below PS2/GC is a priority for you I would highly highly recommend getting a modded switch. In my case, a lot of the PS2/GC games I want to play already got ports/remasters on the switch anyway. The switch’s library is pretty insane all things considered lol
