I don’t know how many people remember setycz’s chickens mod, but I remember using it in nearly every modpack I played back in 1.12, along with timrwood’s roost mod. These were the pinnacle of resource generation to me - though that may have not been accurate or a popular opinion I always felt a gap in my heart where Chickens used to be. I don’t like bees, which might be another hot take haha
Anyway, I got tired of feeling this chicken shaped hole in my heart playing ATM10 so I decided to just go ahead and port it myself!
Modern Chickens
Modern Chickens is currently for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1
This is mostly a direct port from the original mods, with one additional feature;
- Modded Chicken Support - Modern Chickens will identify all ‘ingot’ resources in your minecraft instance and generate resource chickens for them. You are able to tune the chicken.properties to disable duplicate chickens, change their breed ‘recipe’ and laid resource. Look at allll these chickens!
This is my very first attempt at Minecraft Modding, and Java as a whole so I’m just glad it works at all :D
