I genuinely felt safe at work to disclose my autism. I only ever asked for one adjustment and one only - not to chair management meeting as that was extremely difficult for me. I was declined. 4 months later I’m demoted from senior management position to just a generic manager and removed from the management meeting completely with a quote “you said it’s difficult for you to run the meeting so you no longer need to be there”. Portrait this to me as accommodation but in reality it’s is exclusion because I’m autistic.

I’m devastated. I worked at this company for 4 years, I cannot believe I’m so mistreated after all I’ve done for them. Never ever again I will ask for accommodations at work.
